Laurea University of Applied Sciences and Université Gustave Eiffel (UGE) organize together an “Intercultural Service Experience” week in Helsinki region, Finland. The exchange week in June 21-26, 2022 will enable a group of Master’s students from Gustave Eiffel and students from Laurea to experience, research and analyze together services out of their daily contexts.

Students will learn intercultural cooperation, different aspects of value creation, analyze elements of and apply their knowledge of service experience in an urban setting. The learning activities will take place in Laurea premises, Helsinki city as well as the OOdi Library, which is a good example of the future libraries. In addition to the formal learning, the international week provides an opportunity for collegial networking among students and participating staff members.

Laurea’s lecturers Tarja Chydenius and Kaisa Airo will be facilitating the learning of the international student group. They both confirm: “We are very much looking forward to learning from each other and the different approaches to service innovation and marketing. The cultural aspects will make this even more interesting. This exchange week will be a great opportunity to pilot a long-term co-operation in the PIONEER European University Alliance.”
