On April 8, 2025, the UTB rectorate building transformed into a colourful mosaic of cultures as the first-ever PIONEER Festival took place as part of International Week at Tomas Bata University in Zlín.

From 10:00 to 14:00, visitors had the opportunity to meet international students from UTB, taste authentic dishes from around the world, and even try their hand at a few foreign phrases. The event offered a unique chance to experience the atmosphere of international cultures without ever leaving campus.

Beyond the delicious food and cultural showcases, the festival also introduced the PIONEER Alliance, a promising initiative that opens new doors for international study, research, and collaboration. For students dreaming of studying abroad, the event served as a valuable source of inspiration and networking.

The PIONEER Festival was a highlight of International Week (April 7–11), during which UTB welcomed representatives from over 10 partner universities across Europe. The event successfully underscored the university’s commitment to internationalization and student mobility, offering a space to discover the world right in the heart of Zlín.
