On Thursday 27 February, the European Commission organised the event ‘Shaping the Future: European Universities for a Competitive Europe’, to mark the fifth anniversary of the European University Alliances.

This high-level conference brought together more than 400 university representatives and European decision-makers to discuss the future of transnational partnerships and their role in strengthening the competitiveness of the European Union.

Anissa Benmamar and Helena Carreiras took part in the event as representatives of the PIONEER Alliance.
