Since 2021, the Université Gustave Eiffel has partnered with AFIT France (French Transport Infrastructure Financing Agency) to study the evolution of mobility and its impact on transport infrastructure. This collaboration inspired the creation of the European Hackathon, a platform for students to propose innovative solutions to pressing transportation issues.
The 2025 edition of the Hackathon will focus on the theme “Towards Sustainable Logistics and Goods Transportation”. The event, taking place from March 21 to 25, 2025, at the Paris campus of Université Gustave Eiffel, will bring together 40 Master’s students from 12 European universities, including partners from the PIONEER alliance.
Participants will work in mixed teams, combining students from Université Gustave Eiffel and partner universities, to address challenges related to:
- Flow and delivery management,
- Modal shift opportunities,
- Supply chain governance,
- Logistics hub locations,
- New freight motorization.
Key dates:
- September 17 – November 7, 2024: Call for entries,
- February 8 & March 8, 2025: Online work sessions,
- March 25, 2025: Final presentations and awards ceremony.
