BFH International Staff Week 2025
Bern University of Applied Sciences BFH will host an International Staff Week from 24 to 27 November 2025, themed “pathways to sustainable cities and communities”.

Expect a variety of PIONEER-relevant interactive workshops and networking opportunities. Participants will have the chance to learn more about BFH as a place for studying, teaching, and research through visits to various BFH sites across the Canton of Bern, including labs and research facilities.
Highlights in the programme include:
✔️ A keynote from Prof. Dr Christian Erik Pohl, TdLab at ETH Zurich, who will speak about “Real World Laboratories as learning opportunities”.
✔️ Project Space: a session on Tuesday, where BFH staff present their project ideas and seek interested individuals from the PIONEER alliance for potential collaboration. Please read the detailed project descriptions on the event website carefully and sign up for this session the same way as for the workshops (or opt out) to discuss the potential research or teaching project that interests you.
✔️ An opportunity to meet stakeholders from the BFH ecosystem during site visits on Thursday.
BFH International Staff Week is open to lecturers, researchers and project staff from the PIONEER alliance, staff from their International Offices, as well as representatives of other BFH partner institutions.
